Napa Transportation

Napa has lots of transportation options, from limos to water ferries across the bay. Contact us for details!

Luxury Car Service

Old World Inn recommends California Wine Tours a full service executive transportation company. CWT is family owned and operated, and take a personal interest in the satisfaction of each and every customer. Reservations: 800-294-6386 or online at

A number of taxicab companies serve Napa and Napa Valley but they are really not recommended. Too many of our guests have been stranded or left waiting for hours. We suggest walking to dinner (a perfect end to a perfect day), or reserving a limo in advance. Please contact us for recommended limo companies.

Public Transportation

Napa Valley's Vine public transit system offers inexpensive trips to all Napa Valley towns as well to San Francisco from the Vallejo Ferry Terminal. Plan on adding 2-3 hours—EACH WAY— if you choose this option. If your time in the wine country or Bay Area is precious, a rental car is often the best option.

Ferry to San Francisco

If you want to spend a day in San Francisco, consider driving 30 minutes to Vallejo and taking the Baylink Ferry. Dress warmly (layers) for those cold Bay wind gusts, and enjoy the spectacular views and low-key vibe. Disembark at San Francisco’s famous Ferry Building and take the Cable Cars or cabs to where you want to go. Or walk—San Francisco’s hills are a lot of fun! All told, taking the ferry is a great way to spend the day, and it costs less, too, when you factor in parking fees, local tolls, and/or shuttles or limos.
