MAIN HOUSE & COTTAGES: GUEST ROOMS

The Old World Inn's Main House and two Craftsman cottagess are just across the street from the original Old World Inn.

Staying in these newly restored homes gives you the best of both worlds: Beautiful 100+ year-old woodwork and architectural charm, plus all new electrical, plumbing, and heating/cooling systems!

Guests check in at the Main House (1556 Polk St), receiving a map of downtown Napa and the Napa Valley. Ample free parking is available in our off street lot, in back of the Main House.

Guests are treated to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at check-in, as well as a wine and cheese reception from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and chocolate desserts from 7:00 pm on (we keep the chocolates out all night long!).

The morning after check in, guests wake to the smell of freshly baked breads or muffins, as well as just-brewed coffees, teas, and hot cocoa. Add to that our famous gourmet breakfast, and you have the beginning of a perfect day for wine country exploring!

Acqua (rooms 3, 10, 12, 14, 18-21)

Acqua is Italian for water, essential for growing wine grapes. Water nourishes the soul, and is a big part of our Acqua rooms.

Each spacious Acqua bathroom features an incredible spa tub, as well as lovely vanities and separate 2-person, walk-in showers.

The bedroom features a romantic king-sized featherbed, as well as a small sitting area at the side of the bed. Enjoy the romantic flames from the flickering gas fireplace, or watch a movie on the 50" HDTV/DVD system.

$299-499 per night, plus taxes/charges

Room Features: King featherbed, small sitting area, fireplace, 50" HDTV/DVD system, small (4-foot) closet, 1 or 2 dressers, large spa tub and separate 2-person shower, wireless high-speed Internet access.

"A perfect place to escape. You warned us the room was not as big as the 5 star hotels we frequent, and you were spot on. But seeing the original native growth redwood everywhere, with all its scratches and patches, really brought home just how special this place is. What a great sense of history. And great job on the restoration . . .  when I walked in the bath and saw the spa tub, I wanted to move in!"

Terra (room 2, 6, 11, 16, 17)

Terra is the Italian word for earth or land, another essential element when growing grapes. The earth, or terrior (French) gives wine much of its unique flavor.

Our terra rooms are all about earthy pleasures.

The romantic, king-sized featherbed takes up pretty much the entire room, and it features a down comforter and a stack of comfy pillows.

Listen to music, or watch a movie on the 32" HDTV/DVD system. Enjoy the romantic glow of flames from the flickering gas fire.

This room has a private bath with a special 6 foot long Jacuzzi spa tub built into the shower/bath. Bubble your cares away in the tub, or take a relaxing shower—there's room for two!

$299-399 per night, plus taxes/charges

Room Features: King featherbed, armoire, 1 dresser, no closet, fireplace, 50" HDTV/DVD system, large spa tub and separate 2-person shower, wireless high-speed Internet access.

"Your website description was accurate—this room is quite small. But it had everything we needed. Thanks for a great time!"

Aria (room 4, 7, 8, and 15)

Aria is Italian for air, essential for growing wine grapes and keeping people alive and well. Each evening, air from the ocean flows up the Napa Valley, cooling the grape vines and helping them ripen. The cool evening air is also a favorite for locals and visitors—there is nothing quite like walking into town for dinner at the end of a sunny day and feeling the soft, cool breezes.

Wrapped in soft shades of yellow and cream, this small room has a romantic, queen-sized featherbed which pretty much takes up the entire room!

Relax to music, or watch a movie on the small screen HDTV. Enjoy the romantic glow of flames from the flickering gas fireplace.

Each aria room has a private bath, wrapped in soothing aqua tones. The bath features an air tub, which offers an effervescent way to take a bath! Bubble your cares away in the spa tub, or take a shower in the tub/shower combination -- there's room for two!

$249-349 per night, plus taxes/charges

Room Features: Queen featherbed, armoire, 1 dresser, no closet, fireplace, small screen HDTV/DVD system, large spa tub and separate 2-person shower, wireless high-speed Internet access.

"Loved the location. Loved the food. Loved the spa tub. Staff was amazing. We'll be back."

Sole' (rooms 1, 5, 9)

Sole is the Italian word for sun, another essential element for growing wine grapes. The sunny weather in Napa helps the vines grow vigorously and makes the grapes very happy. We've noticed that this abundance of sunshine also tends to make the people here happy, too!

Wrapped in sunny shades of yellow, this is by far our smallest, tiniest room. It is typically only suitable for one or two night stays, as it has minimal space for luggage.

There is a small armoire and one dresser for clothes (no closet).

Sink back into the romantic, queen sized featherbed and feel a deep sense of relaxation. Snuggle under the covers and listen to music or watch a movie on the 32" HDTV/DVD system.

The Sole' bathroom has no bathtub, but there is a wonderful tiled shower big enough for two!

$169-299 per night, plus taxes/charges

"We were here for only a day, but your staff made us feel right at home. Thanks for a wonderful stay in the wine country!"

Private Bathrooms

The small, private bathrooms attached to these rooms feature vintage style floor tiles, solid wood wainscoting, and plaster walls in soothing colors.

Sinks are vitreous china, in keeping with the period.

The Acqua, Terra and Aria bathrooms feature a spa tub/shower.

Sole' rooms have a shower (no tub).
